This porter is delicious and fortifying with a roasty aroma and bready, graham cracker notes. The spruce tips contribute an intriquing pine-ness to the beer, complementing the chocolate/coffee character.

Appearance - Pours a dark mahogany brown with two fingers of bubbly tan head.
Smell - earthy, leafy, floral hops, pine resin and spruce, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - earthy, leafy, floral hops upfront then quickly goes into the bold notes from the pine resin and spruce. The chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth with the pine and spruce lingering.
Overall - A well crafted porter alongside using spruce tips with this style. A bold venture which paid off in the taste. For someone that likes to taste spruce and pine this is quite up my alley. A pleasant surprise from these guys. This is definitely a porter that should be stocked for the fall/winter season here.
