32oz crowler poured into a snifter
A- pours black in color with a two-finger creamy khaki colored head that has great retention and leaves some lacing behind
S- bold aroma of freshly ground coffee; earthy, herbal, espresso notes. Charred malt, slightly smoky, black licorice, burnt popcorn, dark chocolate, smells like a coffeehouse
T- flavor follows the nose; bold, black and bitter coffee; slightly herbal with some charred wood and dark chocolate. The finish gives hints of chocolate with more coffee on the linger
M- medium-light body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into a dry finish
O- this one is a coffee showcase, not one for the non-coffee drinker, a welcomed variant of the base beer
