32oz crowler poured into a snifter
A- pours a murky bright orange color with a one-finger foamy white head that has short retention, looks like orange juice
S- plenty of chardonnay barrel on the nose, oaky, white grapes. Funky soft cheese, pineapple chunks, pina colada
T- several white wine notes up front, vinous, white grape and nutty oak. Mid-palate starts to bring out juicy notes of fresh pineapple, which compliments the barrel quite well. The finish bings out a hint of cheesy funk with a brief wave of sour tartness that balances the sweetness from the fruit. Lingers of pineapple and white wine
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a crisp, tart finish
O- fantastic balance of barrel, pinapple and tartness, making this one of the most drinkable sours I've had in a long time
