Big, bold, roasty. This imperial stout is traditionally brewed without the use of adjuncts such as chocolate, vanilla, or coffee. This smooth, chocolatey concoction is lovingly named after our founders Sam and Aryn’s 2nd child, Ada. Like every child, this brew is an experience and adventure all its own.

3/1/24 On tap at brewery in Ghent, WV for Leah's birthday month excursion.
Beautiful deep black. Head disapated quickly with little lacing.
Sightly iron aromas with a backdrop of roast and coconut.
Not overly sweet, thank you, but sweet enough for an imperial.
Coconut and roasted coffee. Slight molasses sweetness. Good balance of carbonation.
Good choice for a good time at Weathered Ground Brewery! Hope to come back when the weather is nice enough to sit outside!

No canning date. Poured at 53°. One finger of creamy light tan head with some small rocks; excellent cap retention; lots of lingering soapy lacing; heavy ring; black body with ruby edges; thin legs at best on swirl. Nose is sweet malt, roast, and then a whisper of chocolate as liquid warms. Entry is semi sweet malt followed by roast; bittersweet dark chocolate on backend; no alcohol; bitter roast finish. Medium light body; moderate minus carbonation; no warmth from 10% abv; thin watery plus feel. Overall, an old-school non-BA imperial stout with no adjuncts added, that is well balanced, no hint of alcohol, and just malt flavors; a little light feeling for abv, drinks like a porter; a tasty back to basics beer; I’ll buy more. Wish brewery would can/bottle date.
