I jotted down in my notes that the abundant malt sweetness in this Düsseldorf alt is probably a result of low attenuation. The rulebook says altbiers are highly attenuated. What to do about this? Get a new rulebook.
This is a nutty beer with a sweet cherry cola flavor. Its body is beautifully clear cherrywood with branching lace, a slight head and inviting fullness. It shares an avid sweetness with a number of Sailfish beers, but this one struck me as the best among them for dessert. Very smooth.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
