Copenhagen 21/4 2023. 75 cl bottle from Kvickly, Østergade, Middelfart. A brown label with Nevel's logo in gold in the centre.
Pours murky dark brown with a red hue. Small off-white head. Disappears almost completely leaving a puddle of foam behind. No lacing,
Aroma is fairly intense with a light sweet and fruity odor mingling with a strong, sharp tat and citric scent brimming with unripe berries. Sweet plums and vanilla. Tart grapes and gooseberries. Vinegar.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is tart and austere. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Powerful and tart - but the Sherry barrel does not dominate in any way,
