Thiolized New England IPA. Sure to be a heavy hitter, Gorillas Going Golfing is a new beer, utilizing a yeast strain that overproduces thiols during fermentation. The end result is an explosively juicy, super smooth, and deliciously thick boy for an IPA. Double Dryhopped with Nelson Sauvin, Amarillo, and Simcoe- our brewer's all-time favorite combo, for notes of ripe peach and crisp white wine. Light carbonation to enhance the body, this beer is approachable, yet bold.

Been to Backyahd a number of times in the last few weeks... Their Yardcore IPA hit the spot, but then followed up with another new one. Had a side-by-side taste of the two and Gorillas came out on top by a hair. Enjoying now from a growler brought home, at $20, out in The 'Zebo.
Poured some into a Willi Becher... Pours a hazy, muted golden color. Has sparse, slowly meandering carbo within. Up top sits a fine, thin layer of stark white foam, with decent lace on the glass. Aroma is lovely, with notes of peach, apricot and dank, pithy citrus. Body is easily medium, with minimal prickle attacking the tongue.
Flavor has a hint of crackery malts with a smidge of sweetness. Then it's all fruityness on the palate. Has more peach, plus some lightly bitter grapefruit and orange peel. Finishes rindy and resiny, piney and pithy. Wow! Two new,top-shelf IPAs out of The Yard in a couple of weeks! Gotta love it! Prost!!
