Zipline Brewing Co. - Omaha Taproom

 

I visited the Zipline Omaha taproom a few weeks ago while I was in town traveling. It's a neat place; an industrial-chic bar area with kind of an unusual feature: a lending library! I was also particularly impressed that the bar has a section that is at wheelchair height; this is a level of accessibility I don't think I've seen anywhere else.

When I visited, there were 18 beers on tap plus some seltzers they make. Heavy on IPAs but they have a couple session beers and a nice variety of styles. The main brewery is in Lincoln, so most of the beers were presumably from there, but they have a pilot system here in Omaha where they evidently do barrel aged things; they call this their "Culture Lab". I had the Cloudlifter hazy IPA, the Easy Lifting session IPA, and the oatmeal porter. I was particularly impressed with how good the IPAs were, especially the Easy Lifting.

On top of all this, the service is quick and friendly. I highly recommend Zipline to anyone visiting Omaha who likes to quaff a pint or two.
