$7 seems a bit steep for a beer compared to other breweries. Nice decor and views though

very cool little spot in downtown georgetown. the drive west on 70 is increasingly interesting thanks to the amount of little breweries opening up off the highway, one could make a real expedition out of connecting the dots on the map these days. humble housing here, with a short bar with no more than eight seats, a small brewhouse and inside area, and a modest patio, right in the center of town. its a cute little place with lots of natural light, an old mountain feel without forcing it, and some mighty friendly folks behind the bar. i liked some of the beers better than others, we tried them all, but really didnt find any that were amazing. sure they are new, but who opens a brewery these days with a lineup that reads as plainly as wheat, pale, ipa, stout etc. sure they had a promising rye saison in a fermenter, and a black ale that was drinkable, but i would think to be successful in a beer state like this, you would need a little more innovation to get the draw needed to keep it rolling along. none of the beer was bad, it didnt even taste amateur, but it was all really safe, and none of it seemed too inspired. the hoppy stuff was among the best, but the stout was good too. i can see the idea of being somewhat mass appeal in the start, so i will check back in this winter, but for now, its a beautiful space to sit and have a beer after a long hike or whatever you do up in the mountains, and they have a wonderful vibe going. ill be back for sure, hoping to see some more creativity in the brewhouse!
