From a 19.2oz can. Canned on 02/20/24
This beer pours pitch black in color. No light shines through. The head is quite thick - 3 finger, and tan in color. Very frothy looking and quite long lasting. There's some damn amazing looking lacing on the glass.
There's just a ton of dark chocolate in the nose. There's a roasted malt nose that hits and is is slightly burnt smelling. I think I'm getting a hint of cinnamon. Interesting aroma combination.
Taste - There's cinnamon in the flavor for sure. There's roasted chocolate notes, and yes, the flavor is slightly burnt. Roasted malts show up in the mix. There's a slight bitterness on the back.
The body is decent. It seems like it's right for the ABV. The beer has a dry feeling to it. Smooth.
Very interesting beer. It has some good things going for it.
