About time we found a proper place in Everett! After striking out at so many odd places, this one is a keeper. Great gastropub with friendly service, reasonable prices, tasty pub food, and a good craft draft beer selection.

This may have been a brewpub in the past but now it seems to be strictly a bar.

I visited this place on a pub crawl, and I was kind of disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it was a decent bar, but I was under the impression they were also a microbrewery, which apparently they were at one time, but not when I visited. Still, it had a decent atmosphere that was kind of family friendly. Large windows in the bar out to the stretch of town, so it was bright and not too intimate. I didn't go during busy hours, but I got a pretty good vibe. Several good micros and crafts to choose from. Bartender was friendly; I did not sample the food.

I stopped at the Flying Pig for a couple of pints while on a business trip in the area.

Atmosphere is nice. A lot of intricate woodwork. A lot of flying pigs hanging from the ceilings and painted on walls. Plenty of seating including booths, a bar, tables and chairs. It is an eclectic place, with all sorts of items used in the decor. Lava lamps and luggage. Nice music, mellow classic rock,

Quality is good. All craft beers on tap, no macros.

Service was good. The place was not real busy but the service was prompt.

Selection is OK There were 9 handles to choose from, mostly from area brewers. Choices included ales and lagers, from hefes to stouts. Something for everyone

Food: N/A

Value is a bit pricey at $4.50 a pint.

All in all not a bad place for a couple of pints.

Went to the Flying Pig tonight...prehaps I'm a little too tipsy to write the review--but it's a good place to go. As for all the people mentioning that it's mostly filled with locals....well, I live about 8 blocks away and I love it.

The Flying Pig has changed from a brewpub to a beer bar and has completely stopped brewing as of about 6 months ago. (Which is a long and painful story.) They are now a moderately good beer bar serving Diamond Knot, Hood Canal, Baron, Maritime Pacific, Skagit, Boundry Bay, Snoqualmie, Elysian, and Hale's. The focus looks to be on IPAs with 3 of the 10 taps serving IPAs with a brown, lager, hefe, stout, amber, seasonal, and root beer also sharing the spotlight. Good selection, reasonable prices, especially during the two happy hours (3-6 M-Fri., 8-10 Sun-Thurs.) Appetizers $4, $1 off pints. Not bad. Rumor has it they might begin to serve their own beers once they find a place to sub-contract brewing to. Can't wait to have their amber again... Heaven!

Atmosphere – This is situated in the heart of old downtown Everett. The crowd is mostly local, parking is only in the street, and the building is somewhat new. The walls are adorned with WWII paraphernalia and pictures of flying pigs of all sorts.

Quality – Everything here seems fairly new and well done. There are some really incredible pictures and photographs.

Service – Service as of late has been pretty bad. I’ve spoken with a few longtime loyalists who have also experienced this problem. On my last visit my waitress was overbearing, knew nothing about beer, and, worst of all, would not fill my growler due to “Washington State law.” Why every other pub in the state does it she wasn’t able to explain.

Selection – This area lacks as well. They never seem to have a lot of their beers on tap, so after a five or six beer sampler you’ve pretty much had them all. Then, just lately, they added a commercial tap: Miller Lite. That’s right, of all the beers in America (or just in Seattle for that matter), they added a Miller Lite tap. How sad.

Food – The grub here is consistently first rate. I’ve had a number of dishes to include their big, meaty, juicy burger, the roast beef dip that melts in your mouth and comes in between homemade bread, and pizza of all kinds. They have terrific, hearty seasoned fries that come with their special own “fry sauce” that’s excellent.
