L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a bright yellow color and a cloudy texture. There was an inch of foamy / rocky head that lasted an average amount of time. Below average lacing.

S: A slightly sweet aroma hops, citrus, malt, and a little pine.

T: Tasted of a moderate amount of malt, a tinge of grassiness (not a whole lot, though), a bit of pine, a good shot of hops, a light pepper content, and citrus (lemon, in particular). This is the sort of flavor that grows on you after awhile. Light, somewhat sweet and generally tasty.

F: A good amount of carbonation with a dry finish. Light-bodied.

O: This is a solidly made beer. Blonde ales don't have a whole lot of complexity, but Reason's does well with the style.

500ml bottle into tulip appears pale yellow with white soapy head.

Aroma is earthy and lemony with slight cheesiness, sulfur and neutral graininess before finishing with a nondescript fruity accent.

Taste is dry and bitter with a noble hop feel that lingers with resinous cling. Herbs almost minty at times with light tannic/astringent feel before dry grain almost bready and grassy in the aftertaste.

Medium in body with modest carbonation. As far as blondes go this was solid but as far as IPAs (the way this was sold to me) its a flop. Bottled on date of 7/18 puts this at less than a month old. For $6.99 a pint, I would never buy this again.

Bottle dated 7/18:
Pours an almost opaque yellow gold, with a nice white cap.

Nose is grassy bitter with equal aspects of cereal malt and citrus.

Taste is fairly dry with the malt and lemon tang actually starting it. The grass and a light amount of black pepper are next, the grass drying things more. The citrus accents seem to be lemon and orange at this point, with the lemon finishing the beer with a much lighter grass taste.

I liked it - almost like the saisons I enjoy (though with a cleaner yeast) - dry, peppery, noticeable bitter.

Only 12 days old.

Pours cloudy and yellow with a 2 finger whitish head that dissipates rather quickly to a ring around the glass, and a light film on the surface.

Fresh herbal and piney aroma. A hint of sweet malt.

Tart citrus and strong citrus peel, especially at first for the latter. Kind of woody, or maybe it's just some big piney resins.

Light bodied with substantial carbonation. I had foam coming out of the bottle. It made me burp, but it settled down.

A little harsh at first, but I liked it better in the end. I think this beer is still pretty green. I might try it again in a month or so.

Taste was all hop at first. The bitterness was a bit harsh. It was better after the hops dulled out a bit, and the malts were able to punch through.

Pretty solid considering it's a blonde, but definitely not true to style if you are looking for a quinticential Belgian Blonde Ale. Recommended if you want a hoppy blonde
