On-tap at Capital Ale House, Richmond, VA
A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of carbonation.
S: Light to moderate aromas of pale malts and citrusy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has more balanced flavors of pale malts and citrusy hops with bits of biscuit malts. There are some spicy hops in the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a good balance between the malts and hops. I liked the combination of pale and biscuit malts in the taste.

Pours a dirty yellow brown with a thin off white head with decent lacing.
Citrus and thyme on the nose. Pretty cool!
Light sweet malts with citrus and woody thyme, pine and grapefruit. Fairly light bitterness.
Medium light in body and rather syrupy'astringent. Dry in the end.
A great IPA! Taste and aroma are amazing!

On tap:
Pours a blah yellow streaked with a little orange. Hero pour leaves a medium thin ring an slippery, fleeting lace.
Nose I’m getting a mix of guava, tropical rind bitterness, and a hint of orange/ruby grapefruit rind - but it takes some coaxing.
A medium heft with a bunch of light pinpricks hits my tongue first. Orange, tangerine, maybe a hint of mango brings fruit notes, but the flavors have a cloak of light bitterness, maybe aided by a flaked source of some sort. Tangerine seems to linger most, grapefruit pith and very light pine wood stock lightly after the beer exit my palate.
Not too watery, but not too full. Not too soft, leaning actad pruckly. Fruity by not juicy; bitter but not strongly. Mildy dry. Overall, many good points and a few detractions for me. Net: a beer I’d grab again at the right price.

From the back label: "BOTTLED ON: #2 4/7/2018"
Appearance: It doesn't ever develop much of a head. It slowly builds this short creamy white cap and then it fades out again. Although there is no real head there is some foam scattered along the edge and it leaves good lacing. The body of the beer is pale gold and slightly hazy.
Aroma: It has a bit of an orange aroma at first and then it turns into this strong scent of onions and garlic. It has a very savory scent.
Taste: It has this catty, rye-like character with onion and cedar. The aftertaste is a little better with a bit of candied peach. The flavors primarily have that savory quality that comes through on the aroma and it is pretty strong.
Mouthfeel: It has a nice bitterness that comes across a bit raspy and resinous. The body is on the lighter side and it finishes wet.
Overall: It's an odd beer that might entice some but also drive others away with its more savory hop character. It's not a beer I would regularly buy but it's decent enough to buy once and enjoy.

Great IPA, well balanced malt and hops . I really enjoyed it, Lots of hop, citrus fruity flavors with a bit of pine and not a lot of bitterness. Smooth and tasty. Would order again.
