Nice golden lager that really impressed me in a way. Even in a plastic cup from the taproom, this beer was nicely bodied, but crisp and clean. Didn't know it was a "Helles", just a golden lager that was really good. Cleaner than other Helles I've had.

Golden color. Thin head. Light, herbal and grass. Some hops come through but rather faint. Crisp and clean mouthfeel.

Looks a lot like Yuengling Golden Pilsner.
Smell: A little like hops. Some sweet grass.
Taste: Best at 45 degrees F+. Then the Malt comes out and the hops start to take notice.
Leaves my glass perfectly clean, as if rinsed in water.
But despite the non lacing, this is an outstanding helles.
Overall: A chance find at Food Lion, who despite themselves are getting much better at selecting beer to sell.

A: Pours a clear medium to dark golden yellow with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate amber + brassy + copper colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall soapy sudsy foamy light beige head that quickly reduces to a medium sized patch of mottled very thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of biscuit + bready + toasted + grainy malts with a moderate amount of grainy sweetness. Light aromas of lager yeast along with a light aroma of herbal + grassy hops.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of biscuit + bready + toasted + grainy malts with a moderate amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of lager yeast. Finally there are light flavors of herbal + grassy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away leaving a relatively clean finish.
M: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Smooth with a hint of dryness and a relatively clean finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a relatively low ABV. Enjoyable with a little more sweetness than I prefer in my Helles Lagers.
