On tap at 16 tons the other night. Not sure if this is a "one off" or not, but given that I couldn't find any information whatsoever about it on the internet, I'm going to assume so.
The beer pours a somewhat murky tea brown color with fairly good head retention and lacing. On the nose, I just loved this beer... there is CONSIDERABLE peat both on the nose and the palate, and it blends in very well with the caramel, butterscotch and brown sugar (both on the nose and the palate). The beer is fairly sweet on the palate, but the smokey peat counters it very well, and adds an interesting flavor element to the beer. Mouthfeel is fairly full, and you can definitely tell the abv. is up there a bit in this one (frankly, I was relieved to see that it was "only" 9.4%). The beer isn't hot or tiring on the palate, but you can definitely tell the abv. is pushing 10% in this one.
One of the better scotch ales I've had in some time, and I really liked the nearly over the top peat aroma and flavor in this one. Very impressive effort from Walking Man (which is something I can't say I've seen in some time now).

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
