First had: on tap at their brewpub
Poured a hazy light amber color with a puffy white head that left a bit of soapy lacing on the glass. Typical wheat profile on the nose, with notes of sweet malts and grass. Taste was quite bitter and acidic, wheaty characteristics, citrus essence, with a serious caramel aftertaste. Interesting. Light-medium body, and pretty drinkable, just not something I'm always in the mood for.

I had this on tap in August of 2009 at the Walking Man Brewery in Stevenson, Washington. The colour was light golden with scarcely any head at all. The aroma was thick with honey, straw, light spices and grain. On the palate there was loads of honey, beeswax, honeysuckle, a hint of butyl esters and wee bit o' grain to finish it off.

Chamomile yellow with lethargic carbonation, Crosswalk comes served in a tall glass reminiscent of a traditional weizen glass only more slender. The body is densely clouded though still light enough to dazzle. Holding a glass of this wheat ale aloft is like holding a torch or a light saber. The full visual effect is one of informal elegance and is quite memorable.
The one-finger head dissipates quickly leaving fair lacing but no perceptible smell. The taste is clean, tart, refreshing, and built on light lemony elements punctuated with zesty bittering. The mouthfeel is full relative to the style.

Crosswalk Wheat was served on tap at the Walking Man brewpub, where it was described as an American wheat brewed with orange blossom honey and curacoa orange peel. In the glass, the beer was a slightly hazy pale golden color and was topped by a fine white head. The nose presented an assertive musky wheatiness with a pronounced floral honey presence and a touch of orange. Honey and orange were a continuing theme in the taste, combining with a zingy and firm citric wheatiness. Orange essence became more pronounced as the mildly bittered smooth citric finish came around. The body was well-developed and full for the flavors and character of the beer. A full flavored American wheat beer, with interesting aromatics.
