Was glad to get a pour of this at the Jacob Leonard Appreciation and Sasquatch Legacy Project Fundraiser night at Belmont Station. First of all, this was a great deal for this high quality beer. $3 for a 10oz glass pour, and $1 of that went to the Sasquatch Legacy Project.
This Bourbon Barrel Jaywalker 08/Coffee Walking Stick Stout blend was poured from the tap and came out black with a tan head. Nose had some prominent aromatic coffee bean tones.
On the drier side on the palate. Lots of coffee, cocoa, and vanilla. Since it was an 08 blend of Bourbon Jaywalker, I think it was nice and mellow with hardly any alcohol heat. Other notes of caramel, creme brulee toasted sweetness, almonds, hazelnuts, and mocha. Dry, coffee finish.
