Notes: Listed at 7%. The body appears balck in the full pint beneath a short head of dense tan foam. The head retention and lacing are very good. The aroma is basically just roasty although there is a slight edge of chocolate to it. The flavor is fuller with a nuttiness, roastiness, chocolate, and sweetness. The bitterness is moderate as expected, and it's nicely balanced. It's sweet but not too sweet, and what's there provides a counterpoint to the roasted character and minor bitterness, and lasts into the finish. Medium in body and creamy smooth. Overall this is a very good, if slightly strong, milk stout.
