Longship Brewery

There are a lot of great breweries and tap rooms in San Diego, especially in Miramar and Mira Mesa. This is not one of them. Typical warehouse atmosphere, downright hostile service, and a quality of beer that’s honestly an embarrassment to the city. I don’t expect they will be around much longer.

 

 

 

A really fun little place tucked away in a clean industrial development. Great vibe, really great attention to brewing quality by folks who appear to know what they are doing!

 

we had a blast in here, a sort of viking or nordic themed brewery with a new build feel but neatly decorated with some really heady artwork on the walls and an awesome chalkboard menu behind the bar, dim lighting, wooden tables and features, and a great energy. i was amazed at the beer list, they had to have nearly 20 beers flowing, and i didnt drink one in here that i didnt like. i loved the coffee red ale and the seafarer gose, but also found a tasty dunkel, vienna lager, and ginger shandy, quite a diverse list! we posted up at a table after a great chat with the bartender and played some board game and hours flew by. all of the beer was well done, professional, and relatively inventive, and the vibe is great. i wonder how so many breweries can exist out there, but each one we visited had their own unique thing going on, and these guys certainly seem to have found a unique niche. cool people, solid beer, relaxed atmosphere, interesting place that i would definitely recommend. we had a wonderful time reconnecting with good friends in here!
