this is different. the look is dark, the feel is medium body with low carbonation.
The banana is what sets this apart. I suspect some will love it and others will hate it.
I don't get the coffee or vanilla, perhaps a bit of the almonds. But overall, it's the banana taste that is prominent.
A bit of an alcohol burn at the finish but at 12.6% the alcohol is very well hidden.
I enjoyed this beer, because it offers a different taste. After so many stouts, many tasting the same, this was refreshing.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge fo the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of bananas and dark malts are present in the nose along with notes of toasted coconuts.
T: The taste follows the smell and is dominated by flavors of bananas and has notes of milk sugar and vanilla.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and smooth on the palate with a moderate amount
O: This stout seems to make for a nice dessert beer and does a very good job at masking nearly all of the alcohol from the taste.
