Black New England IPA
Our interpretation of the Black IPA style. This hazy, ebony-colored beer features all the juicy hop characteristics of our New England IPAs, with an added soft-roasted, tootsie-roll finish.

A: The beer is very hazy dark chocolatey brown in color. It poured with a half finger high light brown head that died down a bit but left a large, thin patch of bubbles on the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of roasted malts are present in the nose along with hints of citrusy hops.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of roasted and burnt malts along with underlying notes of citrusy hops - with lime standing out in particular. A slight amount of bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and juicy on the palate and finishes with some notes of dryness from the roasted malts.
O: This beer is quite unique and exhibits interesting contrasts of the Black IPA and New England IPA styles.
