This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells heavily of milk chocolate, with sweet coffee, vanilla frosting, and some caramelly bourbon.
I really like a lot of Kills Boro beers, but this feels a bit sloppy to me. It’s a little leaden, a little syrupy, just a little too heavy and sweet, with not enough barrel character to balance that out. The barrel character just seems to add more sweetness, unfortunately.
This is heavy, syrupy, and pretty thick, with a lower level of carbonation. It’s not really all that boozy.
I wanted to like this, but it didn’t quite work for me.
