Bert Grant's had 4 seasonal ales. They were basically the 4 seasons. This was my introduction to the Amarillo hop (proudly advertised on the label/cardboard). 4.5% abv.
Pours a light yellow color familiar to anyone who has had a blonde or pale ale. 1/2" white head, looks the part re: beer.
Aroma offered more citrus that the standard bittering C hops of their day. This is where it started. This is the moment dry hopping and proprietary hops start in commercial brews. Actually I'm not sure if it was dry hopped, but I'm telling you this beer was instrumental in the direction of things to come.
The taste was a real light but lively experience, floral hopping be thy name, floral orange blossom feels melding with grapefruit and lemon. Light cracker pale toasted malt body. Herbal/floral/botanical bitterness. They went with a real light body to showcase the Amarillo even moreso. Session like. These were plenty crushable, but at the end of the day, the seasonals went Harvest (fall) > Winter > Spring > Summer. Dey all good tho.

$3.99 a sixer at Trader Joes last summer. Pours amber with a slight white head. Light floral hop smell. Light to medium bodied with nice carbonation. Has a grainy, yeasty flavor with a lightly bitter finish. Crisp and refreshing, a tasty, well balanced summer brew.

Medium gold color, medium head. A light bodied ale. Light malts with very citrusy "Amarillo" hops. Smooth, mellow taste. Nice flavor. Light and refreshing yet lots of flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly malty and sweet. Nice beer.

This beer pours slightly hazy reddish golden wiith a rocky off white clingy head. The mouthfeel is moderate. The smell is sweet breadlike with a faint herbal hint. The taste is faint delicate hoppiness with a mild maly middle and mld hop finish. A very mild pleasing ale that would be a good session brew.

A slightly hazy, reddish-golden Ale with a rocky, off-white, clingy head. It has a light herbal smell. The taste is mildly hoppy, malty, with a light bitter finish. This particular Ale features Yakima Valley Amarillo Hops, they seem mild and mellow. It has a moderate body in my mouth. Overall tasty and quite drinkable.

The pour a clear amber color, the head is modest in size, frothy, with decent lace to cling to the glass. Nose is citrus, lightly floral, clean, fresh and quite pleasant. Front is sweet, the top is light to medium, finish is nicely hopped, perfectly acidic, the aftertaste malt dry and long lasting. Also, I think the hops add a distinct perfumy tone to the nose and to the aftertaste, that I can't quite put my finger on. All of "Bert's" beers are good everyday drinking libations, that are well worth your effort to sample.

A solid light bodied, crisp, and hoppy Summer Ale. Dark Gold to light copper with a low ivory head. A nice Floral Hop Aroma. I found an earthy hop character (wonder if Amarillo are related to Saaz in any way?). Light bodied with a crisp bitter finish.
NOTE for those who have not tried this: certainly not a Belgian Style Specialty Ale as it is currently listed

This beer is a light copper color that pours a small head that stays with the beer. It has a citrusy/hoppy aroma to it that isn't overpowering but pleasant. The amarillo hops enhance the flavor, a very refreshing brew that you should try........CHEERS
