On tap at the Portland Brewhouse.

A: Served a light golden color with a modest head and nice lacing.

S: Nice clean aroma of mild citrus and fresh grain.

T: Taste of some fruit, bit of citrus and fresh grain. Just a bit of malt sweetness and a clean finish.

F: Fairly light body, crisp, smooth and quite refreshing.

O: Easy drinker. Nice refreshing beer on a hot day or any day for that matter.

Pours pale gold with a small fading head.
Nose shows some fruity hops with hints of passionfruit and peach.
Same idea with the flavours with the addition of some nice nutty and cookie-dough like malt.
Carbonations is too high, could be lower to really let the malt shine.

On tap at the Portland hotel in Melbourne. Cloudy pale yellow on the glass- looked a little off colour. A fruity mouthfeel, a little tangy (fruity) on the palate. Decent carbonation and fluffy head. Hop presence was somewhat restrained and little bitterness was present. Seems to be a little away from the style but ok nontheless.

A light straw coloured very cloudy beer was presened tomy table. It had a reasonable head and adequate lacing. The cloudiness was a distraction for me.
I could smell yeast malt and hops , which not surprisingly are the components of beer.the point however was that , they were the only smells there. No character no excitement.
The taste is ditto for the smell. ,except for a citrusst tang in the mid palate.
Mouthfeel was fine , watery and fresh.
An easy drinking ale , with enough flavour to enjoy but not enough to get you really excited.
A quaffing beer for me

Not bad. This is essentially the same as the Governer King beer you'll find up in Sydney. Pours a hazy yellow, almost with a hint of green and a fluffy white head. Smell is citrusy sweet with a hint of wheat. Upon tasting, it's a light beer on the palate and the citrus tang jumps out at you moreso than the malty sweet or any bittering hops. A drinkable brew and quite refreshing on a warm day on Russell Street.

Pretty good beer.

A = Straw colored with a nice finger width of foam. The foam dissapates to leave a nice lace of foam on the surface of the beer.

S = Fruit and hops infused together to make it smell quite appealing on a hot day.

T = Light fruitty begginings that follow through with a crisp hop finish. Refreshing.

M = Moderately carbonated. So its queches thirsts.

D = Definitely a session beer. Easily knock back a few of these on a hot day.

Vibrant red-orange in colour with a little white head that hangs around for a little while.

Not an overly strong nose, but enough malt + floral and fruity hops flavours there.

Great taste with stronger fruit flavours and malt coming through on what is a creamy and long palate.

A good little beer that is worth a couple of goes this summer at the Squire Brewhouse.

one of three regular beers in their rotation, this is a particularly drinkable pale ale thats very enjoyable in hot weather.

similar in nature to coopers pale, but not quite as robust in flavor, its a cloudy golden color with a foamy white head that always holds. lovely floral hops aroma with hints of malt, stonefruits and some citrus. taste has firm malt, peachy with a zesty citrus tang. has a mild hop finish which compliments the smooth flavors of this solid pale. not particularly complex, but has a great overall taste which is easy to knock down in rapid succession.

they brew better than this at this establishment, but as their standard beer, this is as good as youll get from any other tap in town as far as good easy drinkin pale ales go.
