473 ml tallboy served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for $3.25 CDN.
Appearance - Rather on teh gold and bronze side of things with a darkening blue/purple hue. A finger plus of off-white head. Good retention and clarity. Lots of bubbles.
Smell - Fairly grainy, much more so than expected with some blueberry fruitiness mixed in.
Taste - Pretty much like the nose, very grainy with some fruity bits thrown in evenly.Good depth of flavors. Quite lager-ish with the heavy dose of grains.
Mouthfeel - Fairly smooth, medium bodied, a touch on the chalky side and dry finish.
Overall - A decent if unspectacular fruit beer that leans towards a lager style base as opposed to a saison as advertised. Still decent enough and worth trying at least once.
