Island Dog Brewing Company

Nice air conditioned space with both indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly as the name and decor might suggest (not to mention the cute animal programing on the big screens). Allowing pets scores points for me since my wife prefers to travel with our small dog. It was the Sunday afternoon during memorial day weekend so it wasn't busy. They have a decent variety of beers on tap, and some more in cans, most lower gravity with a 7% IPA being the strongest. They did have a sign that said they limit 10 oz pours of 8% or higher to 2, so that is a thing here, at least when those are offered. Potentially a fun place when busier.

Off the beaten path, the brewpub is tucked away in a business area, but is readily evident by the outside beverage enjoyment area. Nice vibe inside, spotlessly clean, reasonably well ordered and a good selection of brews on tap, including nitros, and cans to go. A nice touch was the ability to make my own four pack from their great variety. Enjoyable talking with the crew - friendly and knowledgeable.

 

 

 

For a start up they have a really neat place. Local coastal maine flavor interior and squeeky clean. Fun set up for samplers. The selection of brews are reasonably good as they aim for a steady selection of 8 brews rather than the 4 when I was there early on when they first opened up. Little out of the way but well worth finding it and making up your own minds and palates. I will go back when I'm in the area.
