Handsome dark red brown brew with plenty of beige foam in the thistle glass. Rather sweet, even candy-like, but with a burnt edge providing some balance. Smokey and roasted malt, with an overall dark caramel taste. Modest bitterness in the aftertaste, like bitter chocolate.
Massive and malty body with some prickles of carbonation. Long aroma of roasted grain with an herbal nose. Flavors of apple, a touch of cinnamon, and a dose of rum. This is a strong and big-flavored dark brew. From the 32 oz crowleur purchased at the brewery tap. Collaboration with Black Plague Brewing of Oceanside.
