American Brooklyn Pilsner, brewed by Carsberg in Poland.
Looks amazing, impressive head level. Definitley more like an American APA than a Carlsberg. Aroma is light and quite tropical.
Light hoppy flavour and slightly skunky malt. Definitely reminds me of a light US or Mexican lager, as opposed to a Polish pilsner. Very thin mouth feel. Needs a lime, though unfortunately I have the canned version.
This would probably be good in hot weather in Mexico. However in my current winter environment, it tastes a little thin and uncourageous. Though I kind of like the light. slightly lemonny, and bitter apricotty flavour. It definitely has some West Coast IPA elements, despite being much weaker. But it also reminds me heavily of a Corona or other Mexican beer.
This definitely needs to be mega chilled and drunk in the sun. So my review is a bit unfair as I drink at night in the winter. However it has some pretty interesting flavours and I do like the lightness. It tastes nothing like a European Pilsner though. It tastes more American than Polish, which is where it is brewed. It's too light to get a high score for taste, but it's cheap and will certainly try again when the sun is shining.
