“Imperial Spring Bock” pours a see-thru copper with light carbonation. This is an interesting beer, and not what I expected. German traditions of rich bread, toffee, and stone fruits; a balanced sweetness surfaces as this beer warms. Bock/Lager with inherent German style characteristics in a beer of a simple, but unique quality. Stonecloud does quality craftsmanship, and this beer is perfect for those looking for something “different”. Perhaps best served in a snifter for warming purposes? 8.8% ABV.

Clear and light amber in color; not unlike a glass of tea.
Smells of caramel, spicy candy, and light fruits such as pear and prune.
Caramel on the tongue with some alcohol spice and taffy in the finish. Have to get used to the sweetness, but it's spot-on style, so that's on me.
Light to medium in body and dangerously easy going down.
An excellent rendition of a great style that seems to have been lost in the decade of the hop.
