Dark brown color with a thin cream colored lacing ring. Roasted cocoa with spicy rye on the nose and some cinnamon. Light warming on the way down, lingering cocoa, some oak, toasted toffee, coconut, some slight bitterness on the back side and lingering cocoa bitterness. Big thick, silky mouthfeel with warming on the way down the throat.

Nice drinking beer for such a big ABV.

This beer is basically the same beer is Rocksteady. There aren't too many different characteristics other than that this one doesn't have the coconut in it. That being said, the beer is big, bold and loaded with flavor. If you like massive imperial stouts that have a prominent barrel note to them than this one is for you!
