Chocolate. Caramel. Cocoa dust. Hints of toast. Malted milk balls.
Chewy and on the thicker side, but stops short of syrupy.
More breadiness would be welcome, and it's a bit on the sweet side, but it's a drinkable expression of the intended style.

Purchased room temp off the shelf 01/13/22 from Crest in Edmond, OK. Can dated 11/16/22.
Appearance:
Dark brown/ruby black, light tan head that is creamy and clingy. Looks inviting.
Aroma:
Lightly roasted malts and a bit of charcoal smoke, some euro lager sulfur and mineral, low hop aroma
Flavor:
It looks darker and "roastier" than it tastes--which is the point of the style. It should not hit the palate the same way a Stout or Porter does. Laid-back roasty toasty notes in a standard European lager base (i.e., dry, balanced bitterness, clean and crisp, no esters). The impression of a Munich Dunkel or Schwarzbier.
Mouthfeel:
Light-medium, moderate carbonation, smooth.
Overall:
It is what It claims to be, a European Dark Lager. They nailed it. Worthy.
