Pours an effervescent & somewhat turbid cola/chestnut color with 2 fingers of tan head. Sheets of lacing & great head retention
S: Roasty, piney & hints of dark fruits & cocoa
T: Roasty, piney, dryness, cocoa & some smokey notes up front. Sooo much pine; roasty as well, very dry some cocoa & anise at the edges once this beer warms up. Finishes so piney, very dry, roasty, hints of smokeyness & just little licorice swetness
MF: Medium body, moderate carbonation, skews hoppy as it should
Everything you could ask for in a big in your face Black IPA. Perhaps the best of this genre I've had
