A 330ml can with a BB of Jan 2019. Given to me as a gift. A collaborative effort between Eight Arch and Little Monster brewing - not really a Berliner Weisse but hard to categorise. Described on the label as a slightly tart wheat beer brewed with strawberries and lime.
A: Poured into a tulip. Can-conditioned and super hazy. A translucent light pink hue with tons of suspended sediment and good carbonation. Produces a smallish head of frothy white foam that lasts for a moment before collapsing and dissipating.
S: Aroma of sharp strawberry and lime juice with hints of citric acid, lime zest, earthiness and faint grain. Fresh, fruity and rather nice.
T: Tastes of sour fruit juice with notes of strawberry, lime, zest, citric acid, earthiness and a touch of grain in the background. Very dry, with little bitterness or hop presence to speak of.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with fizzy carbonation and decent body. Perhaps a tad thin. Lightly astringent. Aftertaste of sourness, mild strawberry, lime and earthiness.
O: Quite nice for a fruity beer. Looks OK, while the aroma and flavour are pleasantly tart and fruity. Little malt or hop presence. Body is alright for the strength. Very refreshing; would be perfect on a hot day. Worth sampling.
