a little stronger for this sort of thing, but a pretty nice brew, my first from these guys, enjoyed at their brewery, a cool little spot in an already beery part of town. this is a little hazy and a little still, but its neither overly sour nor overly fruited, the apricot is natural to me in aroma and flavor, smells more dried, tastes more fresh, almost all of it at the very finish, and without bringing much sweetness into the mix, so quite drinkable even with the strength. the base beer is sort of understated, lactic but not extreme, not perfectly clean but not mucky and sweaty either, and there is a bit of citrus character to it as well that i think highlights the apricot in the finish. its a little grain soupy, wheaty to me, cereal forward, but without a ton of body, just a bit more grain character than this style usually has, i dont mind it. i think this is a couple of tweaks away from being great, but its a promising start. prickly carbonation is just a little lighter than it needs to be, but this is close on a lot of counts. i am excited to see these guys grow up over the months and years to come, a cool new addition to the scene in spokane.
