Appearance - Dark amber brew, one of the darkest IPA's I've seen in years. Good clarity, Head was frothy and retention was average.
Smell - Lots of earthy notes, some other citrus, leaning grapefruit and orange with a sprinkle of lemon.
Taste - Lots of earth, some grapefruit too. Solid malt backbone. Old school IPA. Loads of bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied, carbonation was middling and finish was semi-dry.
Overall - Really pleasantly surprised to have stumbled across this old-school WCIPA. Would love to have another tipple and write a slightly more in-depth review.
