Our Norse Pale Ale is fermented with traditional farmhouse kveik yeast from Sigmund Gjermes in northern Norway and triple-dry-hopped. Complex aromas of orange peel, pine, peach, and white pepper combine with rich brown sugar and honey to balance the moderate bitterness of this hoppy farmhouse ale.

On tap at Väsen in Richmond.
Pours a hazy orange with fine, soft foam.
Smell is very fruity with notes of white wine, grapefruit and some pepper.
Taste is very fruity with some peppery bite on top of notes of apricot, white wine, peaches and honey. Mild bitterness, but a very rich and full experience.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a very unique beer, sort of a cross between an IPA and a saison. Very smooth, rich and drinkable.

On-tap at Vässen Brewing Company, Richmond, VA
A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a thin white head that left a thin collar around the edge of the glass and traces of lacing running down the sides.
S: Light to moderate aromas of peaches and oranges are present in the nose.
T: The taste is a near mirror image to the smell, having flavors of peaches and oranges. No bitterness is present.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer would seem to classify as a New England-style APA if there were such a style.
Serving type: on-tap
