Tap pour at the taproom. Served chilled in a handled mug.
Cloudy, pale gold colored body. Creamy white head. Leaves behind short lacing strings.
Aroma of tangy wheat malt, cloves. And sweet banana.
Taste is sweet and tangy. Flavors of wheat malt, lemon, cloves, and banana that expands towards the end. Wheat malt tanginess outlasts the other flavors.
Medium mouthfeel. Creamy but also clean from the wheat malt. Good carbonation.
Sweet brew along with the necessary banana and cloves.

Enjoyed this fresh on tap from the brewery!
It's only slightly cloudy with a light bubble gum and banana note. The sip follows with more of a pronounced banana and clove note.

I’ve had this in a can, but this time on draft.
A good all around Hefeweizen, represents the style well. Classic yeasty banana and clove, no off flavors.

Pours golden hazy with fading white cap in draught HH at The Capital Burger DC (AIA 24). Really good Hefeweizen from Vasen Brewing Company in VA. Notes of honey and citrus, bready and banana. Mild and easy drinking at 5.5% ABV.

From the pint can, it pours a slightly hazy light yellow color with a very nice large white head that slowly reduces. Scent is bready with banana notes. Taste follows, but it has a slight hop bite.
Had it from the draught at the brewery, very nice other than the fact that they served it in a glass mug and not a Weizen glass...alas!

My second local Virginia brewed Hefeweizen today. This one was not as impressive as the one from Tradition. Poured a nice slightly hazy gold color from a 16 oz. can into an iced tea glass. The head was white and bubbly and faded fast. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste were primarily lemon and a little wheat bitterness. The cloves, yeast, banana, bubblegum and cardamom were not there. Points on the mouthfeel for lightness and crispness, but it could have used more spicing and wheat bitterness. A good enough summer thirst quencher but not much of a hefeweizen.

Taster at brewery. Hazy golden pour, light foamy head. Taste and aroma features some light smoky notes, then the requisite weizen essence cones in. Full mouthfeel. Bready notes are a bit funky, sourdough. Straying from the style a bit, but good.

Review 5/2 from can dated 4/1:
Straw gold with a light haze and a fluffy head that falls a tad quickly. The remnants are lace-producing lending to an all-around nice looking beer.
The nose has wheat, spice, and light banana esters in nice proportions. The flavor leans more heavily on the wheat and malt, with a little lean towards sweet but with only light banana and subdued spice notes.
A nicely balanced beer, it’s a tad lighter in feel than I’d like, coming across as a cross of a standard wheat ale and a Hefeweizen. Easy drinking and refreshing.
