An exceptionally smooth hazy DIPA with low bitterness and a bold, fruity hop profile. Rakau hops from New Zealand give this fragrant brew intense, yet well-balanced hoppy character, with aromas of ripe peach and apricot balanced by subtle pine and freshly cut flowers. Fruity, spicy, and smooth.

This was the first beer that I had from Vasen, as I traded for it recently with a friend who went down to Virginia. Enjoyed this first impression of them as this was a good example of a New England IPA that checked all of the right boxes off without being offensive or disproportional. It was easy to kick back with this given it's full body and nice range of flavor!
The hue to this was a nice, muddled gold with plenty of uneven head topping this off. A thick ring of lacing remained near the middle of my pint glass with a bit of lacing scattered the rest of the way down the side of my pint glass. Lots of Pilsner Malt and Spelt in the nose along with some wheat and stone fruit as those were more pronounced in the taste. Citrus pith an earthy, floral undertone rounded this out as this was fine for any time, but would be completely appropriate for the summer when an IPA with flavor and body are called for without any overt heft.
The carbonation was moderate as the yeast and exotic hops made this a bit unlike anything that I ever had before. Canned on 10/21 and free of any sediment that settled at the bottom of the liquid, this held up nicely as the stickiness from the wheat and oats easily left me wanting more. Loved this beer as this was a nice first impression from Vasen that will have me seeking them out the next time anyone I know gets down that way!

13 oz pour at Lures Bar & Grille. Pours a hazy golden orange with a moderate-sized off-white head. Nice lacing. Aroma and flavor feature dank, sweet citrus and green mango with a solid malt backbone. Somewhat sharp and boozy mouthfeel. Overall it's a bold, brash NEIPA. I would prefer a softer, more refined version.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Growlers to Go - Short Pump, poured into a pint glass. Had a bright yellow color and a cloudy, smoothie-like consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of citrus fruit, tropical fruit, hops, malt, pine, and a floral quality.
T: Tasted of a small amount of pine (just a little), a moderate amount of hops (not overdone), a little bit of peach, light malt (mostly in the finish), lots of tropical fruit (mango), and some citrus (orange). A light, sweet, and easy to like flavor. The addition of pine to this style is an interesting one. Pretty tasty.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a smooth, creamy finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A good beer for the upcoming summer: Light and sweet. Drinkable.
