Poured from a can into a pint glass.
Appearance: WIth an aggressive pour, kicks up a big, pillowy khaki head. Body is very dark, bordering on solid black.
Smell: Strong, fresh hazelnut coffee smell. Very heavy on the hazelnut. Little bit of vanilla.
Taste: Follows the nose -- pronounced roasted hazelnut flavor, some coffee and light vanilla. Dry but not overly bitter. Could still use a bit of sugar or chocolate to fully round it out.
Feel: Pretty light-bodied, perhaps stemming from the oats. Lightish carb and very smooth finish. The dryness of the flavor translates into a dry feel, too. Drinkable, but not much of a thirst quencher.

Reserved, little more nutty that roasty offering with a nice, lighter mouthfeel than some sweeter versions.

L: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, tan-colored head that lasted a below average amount of time. So-so lacing.
S: A solid aroma of coffee, hazelnuts, roasted malt, chocolate, and stone fruit.
T: Tasted of good amount of roasted malt (present throughout), a bit of chocolate, light stone fruit notes (cherries, in particular), a good amount of roasted coffee, and some hazelnuts as well. A thick and rich flavor. It's not as overwhelming as some stout flavors, but still packs a nice kick. Well-balanced and flavorful.
F: A below average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A solidly made, easy to drink stout. Worth a try.
