L: An opaque and milky pineapple/orange juice with a finger of ivory head. The head had average retention and settled down to thin haze of a full cap and thin ring. Bands of sticky lace were left behind with intersting sharp triangular accents.
A beautiful brew for the style.
S: This beer featured rye, and was hopped with Citra, Galaxy, and Vic Secret. The vic complimented the rye, bringing in some nice spicy aromas. Otherwise I found herbal notes of strawberry fields, stonefruits, underripe pineapple, and of course some citrus. The beer also had some dank weedy notes.
T: Taste was mostly a dry following of the nose with stronger floral notes, some real bitterness, and tropicals.
F: The feel was a solid but light body and airy. Significant carbonation added the the unique qualities of this beer.
O: This was as unique and complex as they come. Really pushing some limits and it deserves to be recognized. I admit that it took some drinks to grow a full appreciation for the brew. At first I didn't know what to think, but in the end it was amazed to find such balance and complexity from a newer brewer on the scene.
