Brewery tap-filled can, poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a moderately hazy, light golden amber with a two finger white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of mild grainy and bready malt, clove, light citrus, mixed light fruit; lightly spicy. Flavor is grainy malt, saison yeast, grapefruit, lemon, mild Belgian yeast fruit notes and some clove and faint funk; mildly hoppy and some clove spice in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. The aroma seemed subdued for a Belgian, and the flavor leaned closer to a saison than a Belgian pale style yeast. That yeast is quite nice though and seems appropriate for Spada's farmhouse name. Not too complex, but a nice farmhouse take on the style with faint funk. Refreshing; aroma is subdued but flavor is fine.
