I bought this from the brewery not long before it closed. It is a nod to the founder's friend. From a thick 750 ml bottle, this beer is intense. Black with a tan head, it smells like coffee, grain grist, and booze. Warming, thick, sweet (but not overly so), and intense. Wonderful. I get lots of wood in the flavor, along with the milk quality. Thick, intense, and wonderful.
