my first beer from this unheard of little operation. a very solid india pale lager, a style i see kind of fading out, but one i still gravitate towards when i find it. the two things about this that make it for me are the hop profile and the quality lagering. the yeast is close to flavorless on this bright golden brew, but its work is complete, this is crisp and dry, and there is a real fast finish on it that makes it crazy refreshing for how hoppy the beer is overall, really patient to me, high attention to detail, a turn on in any style but especially this one. the hops are fruity and fresh, with a lot of lime and lemongrass to them, summery but also bitter at the same time. there are some minerals here i can appreciate, and some real oily west coast feeling hop textures in it. substantial in feel then, but drinkable because of the quick finish and high carbonation. this is really well refined beer overall and a great example of a style i dont want to see die. id love to get up here and check these guys out this summer, looks like they have an awesome spot! i was impressed by this.
