Blind-tasted except for the beer's name, ABV% and brewery...
Bought as a take-out hand-pumped bottle of either 2pints or 1Litre from Overdraft in Winchester.
L- Looks like a Long Island Iced Tea. Mid-brown, murky, poured with a minor patch of bubbles.
S- Totally tropical, a veritable fruit-cocktail going on here.
T- Boom! It's got the 'juicy' IPA thing going on but the ABV% is wonderfully naked so makes it drinkable; juicy+lower ABV% seriously not a combo that works for me.
F- It didn't get it's name because it's meek. This is a juicy thumper of a brew. The ABV% is so egregriously loud it's puckering my palate, or something closely akin to that.
O- I don't usually like juicy/hipster beer, esp. low ABV% ones when you might as well have ordered a S-beer and been served a Lilt. This is very different. Yes it's very juicy but the ABV% is such a thumper I notice less. Fascinating to try, a gift given to me so perhaps not one I'll get to try again. It's a rare thing, a juicy/hipster beer that I'm enjoying.
Review2034/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to Google it to see what I missed! => IPA Triple New England. No other info besides the bottling date (yesterday).
2Pt or 1 Litre bottle £24 (yep - ouch, bottled fresh from hand-pumped cask in a bar so $$$) BB: 2 days. Bought from Overdraft, Winchester/UK.
