Fresh at the brew pub.
Pitch black color with a thick caramel head with eternal retention and leaving laces.
Aroma with notes of licorice, coffee, cocoa and some wood.
Similarly, flavor with notes of coffee, Belgian chocolate and lots of licorice. Dry and bitter aftertaste with some roasted notes.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
Bold and pleasant Stout, this is definitely their best offering. It is flavorful, not bland which is usual for local beers and well balanced. It has a nice bitterness crafting its character.

Nitro-tap at Buller Brewing Company, Buenos Aires, Argentina

A: The beer is essentially jet black in color. When held up to direct sunlight, only traces of dark red are visible near the bottom of the glass. It poured with a finger high creamy tan head that has excellent retention properties, consistently leaving a quarter finger high head covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of coffee are present in the nose along with some hints of dark chocolate.
T: The taste has flavors of dark bittersweet chocolate malts along with hints of coffee.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied, very smooth, and slightly creamy on the palate with a high amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is quite flavorful and its light, airy body seems to work well for the warm climate in Buenos Aires.

Serving type: nitro-tap

One of the best beers I had while in Argentina, but that isn't saying much.
A: It came out very dark with a nice light tan head.
S: Not very much aroma but what was there was of chocolate and a bit of roasted malts.
T: Similar to the smell so it was very subtle and mostly underwhelming.
M: Creamy, very light mouthfeel for a stout.
O: A decent stout, especially good on a hot day, but lacked strong and bold flavors that I like an am used to.

A - Pours black with one finger of creamy light tan head that has excellent retention. Leaves some nice lacing as well.

S - Mostly chocolate, with a bit of roasted malt and coffee as well. Pretty standard for the style, but nice aroma.

T - Similar to the smell, chocolate is predominant, followed by roasted malt. There is some sweetness here, a little more than I would like, but mostly a nice flavorful dry stout.

M - Very creamy medium mouthfeel.

O - A good dry stout, and a nice find during my trip. I would have this again.

pint at the downtown brewpub 24/8/11

A near black with some dark cola at the edge, very thick tan film just sit's there the whole way down the glass covering the side of the glass in lace leaving thicker lace where rings would be after each sip, I don't see how this beer could look better

S dark roast with esspresso and chocolate and just a little smoke

T a little nutty and quite rich other then that it mimics the smell quite well

M quite heavy and creamy very nice in this department

O good stout and perhaps the best thing I drank the whole time I was in South America

this made the walk to the brewpub worth it and I could drink it all day without getting board
