Long-lingering aftertaste of pine— specifically pinyon, though methinks I detect juniper. Earthy as can be; nothing too complex or fancy, nor does it have the spicy kick of some other southwestern DIPAs, which I think pays off insofar as drinkability goes. For it’s simplicity, the 8% alcohol content feels rather hidden; I’d have guessed around 6%. It’s surprisingly good for a beer from Utah. Straightforward, rustic, but sophisticated. The double IPA version of an Edward Abbey book. Would go great with the hoodoos of Canyonlands.

I was surprised with such a great double at 8%. Smooth malt character with a hoppy finish. Enjoyable full body, small bubble w ample carbonation. Really nice profile and it's my goto brew these days. I'm comparing with Bell's HopSlam, Squatter's Hop Rising, etc

Pleasant aroma. Malty at first taste, hoppier finish. More balanced than others in this style. Nice mouthfeel. Pleasant to drink. Interesting hop flavor that is difficult to place. Retronasal like a floral smoking jacket. This beer doesn't kick you in the face like other examples. Tastes as mellow as a 4%er. Keep it up, guys!

One of the better DIPA's on the market. Glad they are now available in 12 oz. cans (good for my travel spirit). Excellent malty character with hop balance. Not like Bruce Lee in your mouth.
