12 can from Harmons. Light amber colored pour, clear, small bubbly head. Aroma is caramel. Taste is toasty, more caramel. Smooth, between bitter and sweet

a really solid red, even if the firehouse branding always sort of turns me off from things, although i guess this place kind of looks like a firehouse, whatever, the beer is good, way ahead of the new craft norm, especially in this style! its a deeper copper color, high headed from the tap, frothy and fresh, smells a bit sweet, but with a nutty depth to it beyond what we usually get or should expect in a basic red like this. its not complex, but it has nuance and its a really easy drinking example of the style. i loved it with spicy chicken, but it would work on its own, work in the morning, work on a hangover, any of it! i can taste how fresh this is, i can taste some yeast in a good way too, not that this is irish or anything, but that its not pasteurized and still alive, a sort of local and handcrafted vibe coming through here in the flavor. not much hops to it, but a little bit of a bittering element to help it finish. minerals and a roasted thing too, but clean, impressively well made and way more flavorful than i expected it to be. these guys are making some nice beers, flying under the radar still, but the quality is there for sure.

Not a lot in the nose. Tastes like sweet malt, dates, toasty and nutty. Dry and spicy in the back end. Easy to drink, medium bodied. Could drink a few.
