No canning date - purchased from the grocer for about $1.80
Poured at fridge temp into a tulip glass courtesy of @Whyteboar
Pours more of a dark brown, nearing on chocolate but is very light around the edges. Appears to be mildly opaque. 3.75
Off the can I get sweet candied pumpkin, reminiscent of pie, with some gourd/squashiness. Off the glass I get a touch more of chocolate. Both together are sweet and pleasant, begging me to come back for more. 4
Allspice, and mix of vanilla extract and soft chocolate forward. Cinnamon, more allspice and pumpkin round out the finish. 4
Body contains just a touch of carbo, 5% abv lends toward its lightness - though I wouldn't consider it watery, and is clean on the palate as well. 3.75
Overall this is a nice competitor to Wasatch's Black O'Lantern, my personal favorite pumpkin beer, but this is a very close second. Aroma and taste are spot on, and I think a nitro or cask version would greatly benefit it. 4
