Purchased as part of a 4 pack from the brewery on 8/19/23. No can date.
L- Pitch black with a thin, quickly
dissipating head.
S- Mild dark roasted malt with
pronounced dark chocolate aroma.
T- Cocoa and alcohol are forward but
neither is overpowering. Actually,
they balance quite well.
F- Somewhat thin mouthfeel for an
Imperial Pastry Stout, which actually
works well! Not cloying. Fairly
thin carbonation.
O- I like it. Not an overly sickly sweet
pastry stout. Quite enjoyable!
