Light into Dark blends Pale malt with a combination of Crystal, Munich and Chocolate malts into a delicious Porter for cooler seasons and beyond. The delicate chocolate aroma from the roasted grains are balanced with the subtlety of noble Golding hops, while the Crystal malt provides a hint of sweetness. Big flavor with a low gravity.

A: The beer is brown when viewed from afar; when held up to a bright light there are hues of brownish-amber near the bottom of the glass. It poured with a quarter finger high light beige head that left a narrow collar around the edge and lots of lacing on the surface and down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of chocolate and nutty malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has a touch of sweetness with just a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This porter is easy to drink and is packed with lots of aromas and flavors of nutty and chocolatey malts.

Can from Julio's
Pours a light brown color with a huge bubbly off white head that slowly recedes. Light roast and chocolate with bits of caramel maltiness and a light plastic phenol and light astringency.

Pours an overwhelming large fizzy head that forces me to stop pouring, more head than beer, but fades at a med pace, then slows, hard to get to the beer itself for the review, sign of over carbonation for sure, a bit of lacing, opaque dark brown almost black color
Nose lots of chocolate, like watered down milk chocolate, a bit of sweet malty aroma, mild syrupy thing, touch of grassy hop
Taste more chocolate, milk chocolate without being creamy, little toasted malt note, mild sweetness, hint of grassy hop barely, little almost sweet caramely note malted milk ball chocolate, drier finish but smooth
Mouth is med to lighter bod, a bit smooth with fair prickly carbonation
Overall not bad, pretty light as expected, nice flavor still, almost English mild like

Dark brown color with a 2F head.
Not much of an aroma. Some roasted malt.
The MF needs some work. It should be smoother, and the finish is too hoppy.
Taste: chocolate notes, but not strong.
Overall: Okay. The body needs to smoother, fuller. The finish is too hoppy and there needs to be a stronger
malt presence.
A better porter to exemplify is Eugene from Revolution. That’s an excellent balanced right on the money porter.

Considering this is a 4.7% ABV porter this beer tastes and smells fantastic. You can taste the chocolate malt.
